(Interior Sq Ft) x 1.3 / (# of Floors) = (Approx Roof Area)
Ex: 1500 sq ft home x 1.3 = 1,9501,950 / 2 story home = 975 sq ft roof areaNote: basement counts as 1 story, attic does not count(2 story house w/ basement would be divided by 3 - but if the 2nd story is only over 1/2 of the house then divide by 2.5)(This method is not 100% accurate - but will get you close enough for ballpark numbers)Round up & choose the option closest to your roof's total area
